Montgomery County Community Foundation awards grant to MCEA

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Community Foundation awarded a $15,000 grant to Montgomery County Emergency Assistance to fund temporary emergency rent assistance for Montgomery County families experiencing an unexpected financial crisis. Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a nonprofit agency that has been in service to the community since 1981 offering real life solutions to our Montgomery County neighbors facing a temporary financial crisis. MCEA offers assistance for rent, utilities, food, clothing, and other basic needs. Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a funded partner of Montgomery County United Way.

“We’re all just one disaster away from needing assistance,” said Margie Taylor, the Marketing and Development Manager of the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance.

Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a nonprofit agency that has been in service to the community since 1981 offering real life solutions to our Montgomery County neighbors facing a temporary financial crisis. MCEA offers assistance for rent, utilities, food, clothing, and other basic needs. MCEA focuses on building stronger client relationships, assisting families in establishing attainable goals, assessing community resources and gaining skills to help clients become successful.

Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a funded partner of Montgomery County United Way.
