MCEA appoints Luxner to position of Director of Programs and Services

CONROE, Texas -- Montgomery County Emergency Assistance (MCEA) is excited to announce the appointment of David Luxner as Director of Programs and Services. Luxner began his services on March 19, 2014.
David relocated here from Santa Barbara, California in 2006. “Early in my career of working with people in crisis, I became aware of the fact that there were good clinicians making business; and, that there were savvy business administrators making financial decisions which affected clinical care. Neither was working properly. I purposefully and methodically set out to gain the experience and education that would enable me to make effective decisions in both realms. I now have the privilege of bringing that ability to the table at MCEA where I am honored to work with a professional team striving to be a source of hope in times of crisis.”
David’s professional experience blends 30 years’ of health, mental health, rehabilitation in multiple settings in both clinical and management roles. He received his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation, Magna Cum Laude for both. David is adept at functioning well in fast paced environments, focused on serving the needs of clients, while creating and supporting the business, clinical, and financial aspects of the organization. His team approach is “hand’s on” and will be a great addition to the MCEA executive leadership staff. Chad Patterson re-located back to Conroe in November, 2013 and is the Executive Director, while Margie Taylor is the Director of Marketing and Development. “We are blessed to have a solid team gifted with strengths to move MCEA forward with new initiatives for 2014 that will move families into self-sufficiency”, said Chad Patterson.
David and his wife Karen reside in Magnolia.
