Healthcare signups available at MCEA

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Montgomery County Emergency Assistance (MCEA) will collaborate with Children’s Books on Wheels (CBOW) to offer special enrollment services for the uninsured in our community from 10:00am-2:00pm at the MCEA office (1022 McCall in Conroe) Thursday, June 12.
Appointments can be made by calling 936.539.9111. The services will be provided in both English and Spanish by Socorro Cortes. For additional information please contact Rita Wiltz at 281.844.7596.
CBOW has worked with Montgomery County Emergency Assistance (MCEA) for years and collaborates with MCEA to offer assistance to our neighbors throughout the county facing a temporary financial crisis. CBOW provides referral and resources for the Texas Health and Human Services Association applications and brochures for CHIP Children’s Medicaid, CHIP Perinatal, Food Stamps, and Texas Women’s Program for the underserved populations that we see daily.
Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a nonprofit agency that has been in service to the community since 1981 offering real life solutions to our Montgomery County neighbors facing a temporary financial crisis with assistance for rent, utilities, food, clothing, and other basic needs. MCEA focuses on building stronger client relationships, assisting families in establishing attainable goals, assessing community resources and gaining skills to help clients become successful.
