CONROE, Texas - Downtown Conroe is an ideal location to support 'Small Business Saturday.' Unique shops offer one-of-a-kind items for holiday gifts.

The Conroe Central Market, Mimi's on Main Street, and The Mercantile, are just a few of the individually-owned stores that shoppers can patronize the day designated to support entrepreneurs. Conroe Central Market, located at 225 N Thompson Street, says..."If you don't find it here, they didn't make it."

CONROE, Texas - Two of the most unique shops in Conroe are inviting the community to ‘Shop Conroe First,’ this holiday season...Mimi's on Main and The Mercantile in historic downtown Conroe.

“If you don’t find something in one of our two shops, they didn’t make it,” said Gayle “Mimi” Burke.

The Mercantile and Mimi’s on Main have a wide variety of merchandise which includes:

• Antiques
• Vintage
• Collectibles
• Gifts
• Home Decor
• Militaria
• and More

The Mercantile will host their anniversary event along with a Christmas Market November 27, 28, & 29. The 27th is Black Friday, and The Mercantile is encouraging shoppers to start at their store first, which is located at 202 North Main in Conroe, just down the sidewalk south of Mimi’s on Main. For truly unique and original gift ideas, these two shops are a must see.

Mimi’s on Main hosted a “Sneak Peek” November 20-22. Guests received a FREE Christmas ornament, and were treated to refreshments. Mimi's will be open too, the post Thanksgiving weekend. This unique one-of-a-kind gift shop is located at 312 North Main, across the street from the east side of the Courthouse in Conroe (77301).

Store hours are:

Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday - noon - 4:00 p.m.
