CONROE, Texas - After a rainout in June, this Thursday the Isaac Conroe First Thursday Farmer’s Market will be back from 4-8pm at Founder’s Plaza (205 Metcalf Street) in Conroe. Just a short stretch of the legs down the sidewalk, Branding Iron Custom Goods is having their grand opening in time for Christmas in July. Entertainment, refreshments, and goods made in Texas and the USA.

This month the Conroe Farmer’s Market will feature several produce vendors: Benson Bunch Farm from Huntsville, Theiss Farms from Spring, Party Barn, and Quality Fruit from Conroe. Fresh produce has been available every Thursday in June from local farmers on the sidewalk on Main Street. They bring a good selection of tomatoes, fresh corn on the cob, okra, cucumbers, and fruit to the market this week.

“Our crop has been plentiful this last month, but as the days get warmer we are seeing a diminished supply. Come this week to get fresh while we have it,” said Jollisant Farms owner Sandra Kuta.

In addition to the vendors and produce farmers, there will be a grassroots Conroe Car show with an excess of 50 unique cars lining Metcalf, Main, and Thompson. Food trucks offering vegan (Falacos), organic fruit snow cones (Snow Cone Angels), and Cousins Maine Lobster will also be at the event.

"Join us for our Second Monthly Downtown Conroe Car Show! We're expecting a huge turn out with a great variety. If you're a car enthusiast this is an event you won't want to miss!" said Mike Hendricks, coordinator of the Downtown Conroe Car Show.
